Would that be a kidney transplant T? My brother has just been diagnosed with something that will lead to dialysis/kidney transplant. I'm hoping I'm a match.

Sorry Anne - just saw this. It will eventually mean one, yes. I've only had one kidney since I was three, but now the left one is failing, I have nothing for back up. Hubby isn't a match, because we are different blood types, but it will be dialysis first.
Do you know what your brother has? I've learnt a fair bit over the last year about kidneys - and I'm also part of a couple of different kidney groups on Facebook!

He has polycystic kidneys. Only found out during a back scan by accident. Sees the specialist late this month. Is concerned about us sisters as it is genetic.

We are different blood types so I was hoping that wasn't a factor for compatibility.

I guess it depends which blood you have. There are certain blood types that can have donations from anyone, some that can only have it from some. I'm O pos, and hubby is A pos, which means he can't donate to me.
Do you know what your blood type is - or what your brothers type is? Do you know what your brothers eGFR is, or creatinine? (that's his kidney function and the toxin levels in his blood) Mine is 20 percent.

But it's good that scans picked it up. Blood pressure is really important to watch, and if he has it, when you go to the GP, you should get them to check it regularly, so you have a baseline to work from.

I lost 2.1kg this week. Really happy with myself. Things are already fitting better.

Excellent Anita!
I haven't weighed myself in such a long time. I don't know what I weigh.

Well done Anita! I also don't weight myself - I don't want to know! I'm off to the gym this morning.

Fantastic effort Anita.

I weigh myself weekly and lately it fluctuates between 73kg and 75kg

Jumped on the treadmill today hopefully that will kick start something.
Like I said above its what goes in my mouth that I need to control more.

You are fantastic Tam!! I don't have a fit bit, but I'm inspired by everything you do.
It won't help my brain, but losing weight will be good.
Hope you're going okay with the lack of driving.
Thinking that playing Pokémon Go should make me more active?? Make me walk more.
