 land
Last week we found out that old coot is selling the 2 5acre lots either side of the block we bought from him. We were hoping he wouldnt do this for a couple of years so that we would be in the position to extend our mortgage & get them both bumping us up to 15acres.And also so that we dont end up with close neighbours Have been watching the re site for them to get listed so we could see how much they were as Dad was even thinking about buying them!! Finally found them yesterday & I dont think we will have to worry about them selling in a hurry!! We paid $120K for 5 acres, it has a fully equipped bore, power to the shed on the block where the bore is & the garden shed (not much but still worth $500approx) These other 2 blocks are same size, NO power, NO water just a bare paddock & he has listed them for $160K each

 Re: land
Sounds like you should be safe for awhile! Hopefully then you or your Dad can get them cheap.

 Re: land
no Petals the re agent is a dickwad & I told him that when we bought our land We arent in the position to be able to buy them now but if they are still there in a couple of years we will assess our situation then. I cant see them selling in a hurry esp the one to the west of us as its pretty crappy, hilly block that would be a real cow to try & build on
