Classroom profiler observes the teacher and the students between half and hour to forty five minutes and we give chartered feedback in relation to lesson frequency and lesson flow. In other words, we are a neutral observer, there to give a teacher a brief snapshot of time, so they can see where and what their strengths and weaknesses are, and how they can work on them. Very handy for teachers to improve their outcomes and for high school teachers in particular, to positively praise students (apparently we are pretty bad at that, according to the data!).

Sounds interesting Naomi. We have a Master teacher at our school and she does that in regards to English and Maths. I'm more a specialist teacher now, as I teach History and Geography to year ones and twos. I love it. I also get to teach Cate once a week.

I was living in a town called Murgon, in Queensland's South Burnett region. It is freezing out there. I am an English, Drama, History, Legal Studies, Business Studies teacher. I was the leading teacher for English from Prep to Year 10 at my old school, in charge of literacy.

Do you have your own classes as well, Naomi? My mum used to do that at one stage before she became a school principal.

I do Lynn. I have Year 7, 9 and 11 English and Year 8 Drama. I also teach Literacy to Years 7 and 8. Working my way up the chain of command, so to speak.

Wow that is a big loading. How many classes is normal at your school? Full time at ours is 5 plus mentoring.
